Developing a new mom style will be vital as you continue to embrace the changes of your motherhood journey. As your parenting style evolves, so will how you want your mom’s style to be, but finding ways to embrace the new with things that just work will help you discover where your style will be.

This post is about mom style.

Jeans That Allow You to Stretch

Jeans are the staple for any style. There are so many kinds of jeans that you can find one that you will really love. The type of jeans that really work well with a mom’s body fit you well, aren’t too tight, and can move with you when your weight may go up or down.

Straight leg/Relaxed jeans are an excellent option for moms looking for an overall good pair that will allow you to look and feel your best. They don’t fit too tight or too loose and can go with anything. Having a couple of these jeans will always be a go-to.

Skinny/Stretch jeans are another pair for days when you want to dress up or down. These are a personal favorite since I’m a petite person, but skinny jeans work for most body types. They go with everything, and for the days you want to feel sexier, having a few pairs of these won’t hurt.

High Waisted jeans are the true MVP. They can cover up the belly when you don’t feel like showing all its glory and give you the confidence boost you may need at that moment in time. Whenever I am feeling bloated and want to tuck the tummy away, the high-waisted jeans are perfect for being able to show up the way you want to and feel good about it.

Leggings and Jeggings

Leggings and jeggings are the best inventions when it comes to style. Whether you want to run an errand to the store or hang out with friends, you can’t go wrong with leggings. Also, since they are super stretchy and comfortable, you will never have a problem wearing them when you gain weight, lose weight, or just want to go with the flow of the moment.

Jean Jacket

There are plenty of jean jackets that you can choose from, and they come in all types of styles and colors that you really go wrong. A jean jacket is an excellent option because they go with any outfit for any occasion regardless of the time of year. You can also wear the jean jacket open, closed, or a combination. You will feel empowered everywhere you go knowing that you have a significant clothing item.

Sneakers and Shoes

After pregnancy, putting on specific shoes doesn’t feel or look the same. You won’t be able to wear particular shoes for extended periods because your feet will hurt, and your back is probably messed up from pregnancy. Finding a great pair of shoes that go with everything will be hard.

Most of the time, finding a couple of pairs of flat shoes and sneakers will be your best bet. You can always go dressy casual and still feel like you are going out looking your best because it checks all the boxes, and they are affordable. With the different styles of shoes to choose from, you can find what you need to rock your new mom’s style.

Best Women Tops for Mom Style

When it comes to tops, you can’t go wrong. When looking for tops, you can pick something that provides the amount of coverage you are looking for, and you can choose the style that will go with any occasion. From t-shirts, blouses, crewnecks, sweaters, you can find something that will fit you flattering and forgiving.

The best shirts that work for layering would be t-shirts and short sleeves. Popular styles are loose v necks style or crewneck, and these types of shirts provide the kind of coverage you need to feel as comfortable as possible, especially in the early weeks of postpartum. You can pair this with a jacket, vest, or anything you like.
