Now that I am one week into the new year, I feel more settled into my goals and set up for the year. Sometimes you can lose momentum after the new year’s hype wears off, but I will say there is an easy way to keep the mojo going.
In the last couple of years, I have picked a theme or motto to go along with what I want to accomplish. This year, I decided that along with my word/theme of the year, I would also come up with some affirmations that match my energy.
Affirmations are so meaningful, especially now because you can start to get discouraged when you see something or someone moving further along than you. It makes you want to throw in the towel.
But affirmations and mantras are what have kept me going while I am in this space of transformation, transition, and surrender.
I created and found four affirmations that have helped me push through in a big way this year.
- You are valuable and what you provide is VALUED.
- I have released all limiting beliefs about my ability to succeed.
- I am following my dreams, and I am doing everything to make them come true.
- Every day anyways, I am becoming more successful.
I say this to myself every day and have also put them on post-it notes so that when I come into my office, I can look at them as I work.
The affirmations remind me that even if things are slow, keep going, be positive, and know that it will work out.
I encourage you to find a few affirmations that speak to you and apply them to your life. There will be days in the year that require me to show up in a capacity that I might not be ready for, but that is ok.
After the year 2020, everyone needs grace.
Every day I read the affirmations, I get to work and feel so much better about the day.
If you are looking for sites with a list of affirmations, Pinterest has a lot of great ones, and depending on your focus; it can be related to religion, travel, or lifestyle if that is your choosing.
