You can’t always give your mom, partner, or kid’s school money. There will be times when you have to allocate that money and resources to other places.
Coming up with a list of activities/things that you feel comfortable giving money to will let you honor your commitments to things that are important to you and permit you not to allocate resources to placements you don’t want to.
